North Group Meeting 6 October 2006
The RMS North group held its first full day workshop on Promoting Records Management in Your Organisation run by Fiona Trappe from BDW.
The day's events began by identifying how we currently see our role within our organisation and looking briefly at the reasons why records management should be promoted.
Discussions then centred onto possible suggestions for selling records management to colleagues. As part of this senior managers were identified as being some of the hardest staff to sell records management to.
Further discussions identified issues which prevent us from doing our roles effectively, and looked at how we could change and improve this.
After a break for lunch, the discussion concentrated on a possible plan which could be followed when trying to successfully implement records management as well as.
After an opportunity to feedback, the meeting was called to a close. Thanks were extended to Fiona for such a successful workshop, and to TFPL, for their kind sponsorship of the event.
