Simon Guild, London Borough of Merton
Simon Guild has spent the last 10 years working in Information Governance for voluntary and local government organisations. Initially focusing on the Data Protection Act his remit has grown witht eh expansion of Information Rights to include Freedom of Information, records Management and RIPA. Due to the economic challenges faced by the public sector focus has now shifted towards developing the re-use of personal information in Local Government.
Simon is currently Information Governance Manager at the London Borough of Merton, a member of the London Boroughs Information Rights Forum and board member of Data Share London.
Prior to working in Information Governance, Simon worked as a roadie for the Inspiral Carpets.
