Leanne Bridges, Audit Commission

Leanne Bridges

Leanne Bridges is the Records Manager at the Audit Commission, a public sector regulator that promotes value for money for taxpayers, auditing the £200 billion spent by 11,000 public bodies in England.

The Audit Commission has recently completed a project commissioned to better manage their electonic information that has included the procurement and implementation of an electronic document and records management system to be used by all staff. The EDRMS replaces the file servers that had been used to store all unstructured information, a total of more than 13 million documents and records and is configured to enable access to a corporate fileplan that is representative of the organisations functions and activities.

Leanne has been a key member of the project team and has been responsible for the introduction of the Records Management approach at the Audit Commission, the development of an organisation-wide fileplan and the configuration of the EDRMS to suit the Recordkeeping Framework developed as part of the project.

Leanne is the Chair of the Records Management Society South West Group.
