Undertaking a records audit is additionally vital for complying with information rights legislation through providing information on where records are held. - A successful tried and tested methodology to enable staff to undertake a records audit, with limited direct assistance by information management processionals.
- Why organisations should use a database to gather information.
- Why information from the audit needs to be kept up to date.
- How to use effective communication and training (face to face and online) to ensure staff complete the records audit effectively.
- How information gained from the audit can be used to develop a key records management programme and get buy in from senior managers.
- A brief discussion will take place on the benefits and risks of following this methodology.
