Open Source EDRM at Islington Council
This session will cover two main areas, beginning with an overview of our Corporate EDRM project. This will cover our initial approach, including a detailed feasibility study of records management options and systems for a local authority with around 4000 employees. It will examine some of the 'myth busting' we had to undertake around our eventual choice, the implementation of an Open Source EDRM system.
Secondly, the session will show how the fundamentals of our EDRM system - the classification scheme, retention schedule, 'declaration' of documents - have been driven through corporate knowledge management tools such as the intranet and collaborative 'team spaces', and what we have learned from this.
